Distance Education Non-Thesis Masters Degree in Entrepreneurship

Aim of the Distance Education Non-Thesis Master Degree in Entrepreneurship is developing the skills of enriching and transferring knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship to those who are working in the public and private sectors by using contemporary management tools and techniques in the field of entrepreneurship.

Distance Education Non-Thesis Master Degree in Entrepreneurship program is run in a virtual platform that is established by Bartin University Distance Learning, Application and Research Center (BUZEM). In courses, Lecturer and students meet in a virtual class and can communicate bilaterly. Many teaching tools like power point presentation, videos, case studies, multimedia, animations and simulations, are used in virtual courses as in formal training. Courses and exams are taken mostly in virtual platform.

Graduates of this program can be employers that produce new business ideas on the basis of individual, corporate and social entrepreneurship. In addition to this, producing new ideas and innovative approaches is targeted by developing current businesses, searching for new opportunities and reproducing new investment from current businesses.

This program contains 10 elective courses and a term project that is written at the end of education.  Students must complete this program in maximum 3 terms. Student takes term project course at the beginning of second term. Students that complete courses can graduate after 2 terms. Currently, there are 41 students in this program.

In admission, we consider a success grade that is sum of 50% of bachelor grade point average and 50% of written exam. Written exam is evaluated on the scale of 100 points and students with minimum 60 points are organized from highest point to lowest in terms of success grade. Midterm exams are taken in virtual platform and final exams are taken face to face in school.

Students in this program can transfer to master programs with thesis in the fields of economics and business administration by providing requirements of these programs.

Application Requirements

·       1)   A bachelor's degree.
2)  E
quivalence of undergraduate diplomas obtained from abroad to be approved by Higher Education Council Presidency (YÖK). (This condition is not required for foreign students).
3)  Non-Thesis Higher Education graduate grade average, ALES and foreign language conditions are not required.
