Master Program Economics of Regional Development
Economics of Regional Development Objective of the Program: The Master's Program in Economics of Regional Development aims to endow the ability to identify fundamental issues related to regional structure and current economic problems, and to develop solution tools targeting these issues. It will enable the determination of the collaboration between public and private organizations with local dynamics in the process of regional development, and the development of recommendations by identifying deficiencies. The program will also facilitate the identification and tracking of transformations occurring at regional and international levels during the development process, and analyze the potential transformations in the Filyos region in the future. The Filyos Valley Project will contribute to the more balanced growth of our region, which will become the center of openings between countries. It is expected to assist in activating the leading sectors and clusters in the region by contributing to the increase of the region's competitiveness, alongside the manufacturing industry, and in activating the agricultural, livestock, and tourism sectors towards development.
Who Can Apply: Candidates who are graduates of any of the following departments can apply to the program: International Relations, Tourism and Hotel Management, Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management Information Systems, Forestry Engineering, Forest Industry, Landscape Architecture, Computer Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Rail Systems, Transportation Engineering.
Evaluation and Student Admission: The success score for admission to the master's program with thesis consists of 50% of the ALES exam score, 20% of the undergraduate graduation score, and 20% of the science exam that will be conducted. There is no language requirement for the candidates. However, scores obtained from exams such as KPDS, YÖK-DIL, etc., contribute 10% to the overall average. In the general evaluation, those who score at least 60 out of 100 points are admitted to the master's programs within the quota, according to their success scores.
