As the Department of Economics, we have completed the formal application process for accreditation awarded by the STAR accreditation body, with the aim of further raising international education standards and demonstrating the quality of our education on the global stage.

With this accreditation, criteria such as the university’s academic programmes, teaching methodologies and student achievements will be assessed and approved by an independent authority. The Department of Economics at Bartın University aims to keep all stakeholders informed throughout this process and to encourage their active participation.

Our Department has successfully completed the evaluation process conducted by the Social Sciences, Humanities and Basic Sciences Accreditation and Rating Association (STAR). As a result of this evaluation, our Department has been granted accreditation for a period of two years, valid from 2 April 2025 until 2 April 2027.
