1.1) Application Requirements for Master’s Programs with Thesis
a) Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree. For degrees obtained abroad, an equivalency certificate approved by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) is required.
b) Applicants must have the ALES score specified in the announcement, with a minimum of 55 points. (Applicants who have previously graduated from a doctoral program are exempt from the ALES requirement; their ALES score will be considered as 55.)
c) Applicants must meet the specific requirements stated in the announcement.
1.2) Application Requirements for PhD Programs
a) Applicants must hold a bachelor’s or a master’s degree with thesis. (Students who were enrolled in non-thesis master’s programs before February 6, 2013, and have graduated are eligible to apply for PhD programs.)
b) For degrees obtained abroad, applicants must have an equivalency certificate approved by YÖK.
c) Applicants applying with a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 4.00.
ç) Applicants must have obtained a minimum score of 55 within the last five years from YDS, YÖKDİL, or an internationally recognized foreign language exam accepted as equivalent by YÖK, in a language other than their native language.
d) Applicants must have an ALES score obtained within the last five years in the relevant score type: at least 55 for those applying with a master’s degree, and at least 80 for those applying with a bachelor’s degree, as specified in the announcement.
e) Applicants must meet the specific requirements stated in the announcement.
1.3) Application Requirements for Non-Thesis Master’s Programs
a) Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree. For degrees obtained abroad, an equivalency certificate approved by YÖK is required.
b) Applicants must meet the graduation requirements specified in the announcement.
