Technical Visit to Ankara by Economics Department Students

A technical visit to Ankara was organized on May 15, 2026, by the Economics Club of Bartın University Department of Economics in order to support students’ theoretical knowledge with field experience, enable them to observe the functioning of public institutions on-site, and enhance their professional awareness. As part of the technical visit, the first stop was Anıtkabir, the eternal resting place of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye. During the visit, students gained important insights into the foundation process of the Republic and the spirit of the National Struggle, while also having the opportunity to visit the museum sections.

As part of the program, the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye was also visited. Here, students received information about legislative activities, the parliamentary system, and the functioning of public administration, allowing them to evaluate their theoretical knowledge in practice. Another stop of the technical visit was the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye. During the visit, students were informed about public finance, budget processes, and economic policies. In addition, Group Head of the Revenue Administration İmdat Türkay and Branch Manager Hüseyin Koç provided information about career opportunities within the Ministry, public personnel processes, and areas of work. Thus, students had the opportunity to closely observe the institutional structure of economic administration and public career opportunities.
