Together with Thousands of Students of BARU, Our Students Experienced The Joy of Graduation
Bartın University (BARU) graduated its associate and undergraduate students with a magnificent ceremony with the participation of thousands of people in the 16th year of its establishment.
At Bartın University (BARU) 2023-2024 Academic Year Graduation Ceremony, students who successfully completed their undergraduate and associate degree education were proud to graduate. Nearly 4 thousand BARU students graduated from 9 faculties and 3 vocational schools.
More than 10 thousand people from all over Turkey attended the ceremony held at Kutlubey Campus Graduation Event Area. BARU students enjoyed the joy of graduation with their families, friends, relatives and professors on this day when their success was crowned.
The opening speeches of the ceremony, which started with the traditional cortege march and witnessed colorful images, were delivered by Bartın Governor Dr. Nurtaç ARSLAN and Rector of BARU Prof. Dr. Orhan UZUN.
Students who ranked in our department were given their awards.

Governor Arslan wished the graduating students success and said, "Today is a day of pride for you and your families. You have completed another challenging process on your life journey to success. The skills and experiences you have gained while studying here will be your most important helpers in the future. I wish that your graduation will open new doors for you and be the beginning of a new era full of opportunities. We expect you to do what we could not do, achieve what we could not achieve, finish what we could not finish, bring innovations to our country, and add new achievements to our achievements. We now see you as honorary ambassadors of Bartın. You will always be proud of graduating from a 16-year-old young university that has achieved serious successes."

BARU Rector Prof. Dr. Uzun stated in his opening speech that graduation is also a new beginning and congratulated the graduating students and their families who share this pride.
Rector Uzun said, "As Bartın University, we are a big family that graduates thousands of students every year. On this day when our students take another step towards the future, we graduate our brilliant young people with their hearts full of determination and hope. Do not forget that you always have a home here. I sincerely believe that you, our most valuable component, will be beneficial to our country with your efforts, diligence and discipline as we send you, our students, off to new beginnings."

Stating that BARU is among the best universities in the world in its 16th year, Rector Uzun said, "As we leave the 2023-2024 Academic Year behind, we are happy to end another productive year full of firsts and important achievements. We have become one of the fastest growing higher education institutions in Turkey on this path we have traveled with perseverance and determination. In the last 6 years, we have increased our scientific achievements nearly 5 times with our human resources, including the world's most influential scientists. We have made our university one of the universities that produce the most student projects in Turkey. We managed to rank high in the lists where well-established universities can enter, and we did this as a 16-year-old university. Once again, I would like to thank all our components who contributed to the success of our university."

Fatih Emir KAYA, the first prize of our department, was presented by our department chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ramazan ARSLAN, Özge KILIÇ, the second prize of our department, was presented by 4th year student advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Devran ŞANLI and Fatmanur ÇEVİK, the third prize of our department, was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emrah Eray AKÇA, one of our department lecturers.
There was a great enthusiasm with the throwing of the caps
At the ceremony, the graduation oath was recited in unison and a great enthusiasm was experienced as the caps were thrown with the countdown. After the ceremonies ended with the cap throwing ceremony, the students immortalized the moment by taking photos in the areas prepared for them.
